At the Gym NYC we believe that the psychological aspect of training is equally if not more important than the physical. Whether an advanced athlete or someone training in the gym for the first time, we expect focus and a commitment to working hard. Our training methodologies and programming are highly influenced by Gym Jones, a training facility located in Salt Lake City, but we also incorporate a number of other fitness modalities including Olympic lifting, kettlebells, calisthenics, mobility training, and more. We train primarily in small groups because strong bonds are built in the gym and we see individuals lift each other up and work harder than if they were training alone, plus a little healthy competition can be fun and motivating. The Gym has members ranging in age from 13-70, of all different fitness levels and from different backgrounds. The common ground between our members is that they come to work and push past self-imposed limits, and they have committed to making training and fitness an important staple of their lives.
